"Make-dos" are temporary solutions to design eyesores. Just because you can't remodel this year, doesn't mean you have to live with an outdated situation...
(Above) Without a formal foyer, we didn't want the television to be the first thing you saw when you walked in the door.... so we built a "painting" into the wall to house a large flat screen TV.
The bathroom on the right clearly needs updating. Until then, a chinoiserie paint effect above the tile wall makes sense of the 1950's yellow tile and a found light fixture spruces up the space until that remodel can happen...

(Right) Ultimately, a new master suite will be added to this home. Until then, a found half tester is mounted and draped with french linens for a sumptuous look.

(Left) The hearth in this home takes up a considerable about of square footage in the small living/dining area. Until it can be reduced or reconfigured, it becomes additional seating with custom leather cushions at flip to white canvas for the summer.
